Winter brings the chance to enjoy many food delights here on the Oregon Coast despite the weather.  The much anticipated Dungeness Crab season begins in December and one can find plenty of other fresh seafood at our local markets and selected boats docked along the Yaquina Bay in Newport and South Beach.

At A Posto Personal Chef Services LLC, we have created some exciting specials for this winter season to help you learn more about our local culinary resources and to stimulate your taste buds with great seasonal entrees. You will find a variety of offerings, featuring our local foods, including private cooking classes, a small dinner party format, and an attractive personal chef meal package so you can come home to wonderful entrees you selected after enjoying a day of pursuing your favorite hobbies. Cooking Classes:

  • The Oregon Coast winter seafood season is in full swing!  Have you always wanted to learn to properly cook fresh halibut, salmon, or Dungeness Crab?  Here's your chance, in this 3-hour class, you and your friends or family will learn to shop for and then prepare local seafood (your choice) and enjoy it at the end of the class.  Price per person is $49.00; a 25% savings.  Includes recipes, ingredients, and hands-on instruction.  Minimum of 4 adults or children (12 or older) are required for a class.
    Available from January 1 - March 31, 2012.

  • Learn to make fresh pasta like the Italians do!  Make real fettuccine alfredo, linguine with pesto, or cheese-filled ravioli with marinara sauce in the privacy of your home or vacation rental from Pacific City to Florence.  In this 3-hour class you and your friends or family will learn to make 3 kinds of pasta and the sauces to go with them.  When finished, you can sit down, family-style, and enjoy the fruits of your labor.  Price per person is $39.00; a 25% savings.  Includes recipes, ingredients, and hands-on instruction.  Minimum of 4 adults or children (12 or older) are required for a class.

Small Dinner Parties:

  • Host a small dinner party in your home or rental property (Pacific City to Florence) this winter featuring local ingredients.  Our chefs will prepare a customized menu for you and your guests or you can choose from our menu selections.  Price per person (varies upon menu items selected) starts at $19.00; a 25% savings.  Includes menu planning, shopping, ingredients, preparation, and clean-up.  Minimum of 4 adults or children (12 or older) are required for this special offer.

Personal Chef Service:

  • Stay out of the kitchen; enjoy storm watching on the Oregon Coast (Pacific City to Florence) and let us take care of the cooking.  For $299.00 ( approximately $15.00 per meal), our personal chefs will prepare five four-portion meals (20 total) in your home or vacation property that you and your friends or family can enjoy at anytime.  This special offer includes all *ingredients, menu planning, shopping, preparation, packaging/labeling, and clean-up.   You can choose a personal favorite recipe or one of our menu selections. The best part is you decide what you want made and when you want to eat it!
