Oregon Coast Wedding Services Overview
A Posto Personal Chef Services LLC offers personal chef and catering services for couples getting married on the Oregon Coast. Our wedding services are designed to support the following activities:
- wedding party gatherings held before or after the wedding day including rehearsal dinners
- wedding day receptions or small dinner parties in either formal tableside or casual buffet-style formats
- preparation and storage of meals for the wedding party and or guests to be enjoyed on as needed basis
We are best suited for intimate events and smaller gatherings of two to fifty people. For larger events that may include the rental of china and silverware, tables/chairs, linens, entertainment services or even a reception venue, we recommend using a full-service caterer.
We can integrate our wedding services easily into any master plan coordinated by your wedding planner or we can assist those couples handling their own wedding plans. We are happy to share with you any bridal or wedding information about local companies marketing different services here on the coast.
Our personal chef and catering services are designed to provide customized menu plans to meet our client’s budget and their desired timelines using the highest quality ingredients available. Our focus allows us to provide a wider array of menu options, and we can offer individual menu flexibility to address any special dietary requirements such as low fat or gluten-free. Additionally, we can design theme-based menus such as Pacific Northwest, Italian, or any other ethnic cuisine. Finally, we can work with local purveyors of wine and spirits to develop beverage pairings to match your menu choices.
All food preparation must be completed in a kitchen that is located either in the client’s home, vacation rental, event location or a certified commercial kitchen. Our chefs will determine the appropriate kitchen upon booking the wedding event.
An important aspect of planning any wedding event here on the Oregon Coast is to consider the venue location and also the potential impacts of our coastal weather. In the past, we have received requests for ‘on-the-beach’ catering or preparing surfside clam bakes. The unpredictable nature of our coastal weather here does impact scheduled events throughout the year, even during the drier summer months, making these types of events too risky.
Rain is always a potential factor in addition to very breezy or foggy conditions occurring on or near the beach. Also, the Oregon Coast experiences cooler temperatures that make being outside for prolonged periods of time uncomfortable for some guests. We recommend finding a location that can handle all of the party guests indoors comfortably, no matter the state of the weather conditions outside. In addition, an indoor setting allows for the food items to be maintained at the proper serving temperatures and helps our chefs have better control over all of the food preparation details.
Our company also offers gift certificates in any denomination for any of our personal chef services as a thoughtful wedding gift for the bride and groom. And for a ‘thank you’ gift from the newlyweds, a gift certificate can be given to anyone in the wedding party as a way to uniquely express gratitude.
Before and After Wedding Day Events
This service provides the opportunity to create a custom menu for a wedding party celebration either before or after the ceremony such as a rehearsal dinner for example. Once the menu is designed and approved, we take care of the grocery shopping, food preparation, serving options, and the kitchen clean-up.
In addition to rehearsal dinners, you can use this service for a family reunion or as a social get together with friends attending your wedding. This can be a great way to start the wedding festivities with an informal event. Finally, this service can be used for hosting a brunch or dinner party on the day after the wedding to say ‘thank you’, or to see the newlyweds off on their honeymoon.
Wedding Day Dining Events
Our wedding services can be selected for the day of the wedding. We can create a menu plan using a more formal tableside service format, traditional buffet-style format, or a combination of buffet and tableside services.
We can also develop a very romantic dinner menu for the wedding couple wishing to celebrate their wedding day in their own private setting.
For those using a coastal vacation home for the wedding venue, we can deliver these same types of wedding services at the rental property, and we will work with the property manager or owner to coordinate our personal chef activities.
Personal Chef Services
Our personal chef services can be very valuable in removing the often overlooked task of preparing meals during the week of the wedding when things can be very hectic and chaotic for everyone. With these services, we can prepare fresh and frozen foods to be used during the week that taste great and are healthy as well. We handle all the details of menu planning, grocery shopping, food preparation and storage, and the cleaning up the kitchen. We can prepare menu entrees for just the wedding couple, wedding party, or for visiting family members and guests.
For those using vacation homes for the wedding venue, we can grocery shop and prepare meals for your arrival day. You arrive with the smells of good food and meals already made for serving later. This can be a real time saver for people traveling to the Oregon Coast who are unfamiliar with the local grocery stores in the area.
Finally, you may want to organize a cooking class for some of the wedding guests to participate in as part of your coastal wedding activities. It a great forum for people to meet and have fun making something delicious like home made pasta or Dungeness crab cakes. The cooking classes can be demonstration only or interactive and can be combined with our small dinner party service for a truly unique and entertaining dining experience.
Wedding Reception Venue-The Champagne Patio
For those parties looking for a venue to host a small wedding reception, wedding rehearsal dinner or a celebration party, The Champagne Patio located in Newport offers the opportunity to rent out their wine bar and restaurant. The Champagne Patio features a nice setting for casual entertaining including tableside seating, a wide selection of domestic and international wines to purchase, and a full service kitchen. A Posto has partnered with The Champagne Patio to deliver our custom designed chef services utilizing their kitchen facilities for either buffet or tableside dining for about 40 people.
