"Hi Pati-
Thank YOU! I so enjoyed taking your class. You have a very natural way of making people feel comfortable and confident no matter their experience level. Your passion and enthusiasm create an almost party like atmosphere where learning becomes such fun! I appreciated the variety of techniques you demonstrated and, of course, the end results were so tasty! I just finished the last of my goodies for lunch. I'll look forward to taking another of the classes. I talked to my mom last night and found out she has a pasta machine. We're already making plans to try your recipes on my next visit to Colorado."

A Posto Personal Chef Services LLC offers custom Cooking Classes designed for people looking to increase their culinary skills within the private setting of their own home. We have developed several formats for delivering these cooking lessons, either as a separate class or combined with our Small Dinner Party Service. Our Cooking Classes are ideal for holiday parties, family reunions, coastal retreats with friends, visitors on a gourmet adventure enjoying our local food and wine, or traveling tours here on the Oregon Coast. And for new business event planning ideas, you can use the cooking class formats for corporate team building activities or as a corporate event to promote your business to your clients in a casual setting.
We conduct a client assessment interview to develop a class curriculum based on your goals. The classes can be arranged as demonstration only where the participants watch the food being prepared by our chefs, or they can be set-up as an interactive class where the guests work together with the chefs to create the dish. In either case, you get to enjoy the finished products at the end of the session.
You can choose a fun-themed class focusing on a topic such as 'Pasta Making' or a class curriculum based on a broad topic such as seafood preparation or artisanal pizza making. Wine pairing parties can be another way to spice up a group event while matching the food ingredients to Oregon wines. And for food lovers, you can develop a class on international cuisine, spicy meals, or ethnic comfort foods, or combine all of these together in a country-themed culinary event like ‘A Night in Tuscany'. For those staying in a coastal home enjoying a family or weekend vacation, the cooking classes offer another entertainment option, especially when the weather is inclement outside.
The Cooking Classes can be customized to integrate nicely with our Small Dinner Party Service. With either chef instruction format, we can arrange the menu items to be served in a group dining setting. Guests get to enjoy watching or participating in the food preparation; we take care of all the other details like the grocery shopping, serving the meals tableside and cleaning up the kitchen. For holidays or special occasions, the Cooking Classes are a unique way to get a group of different people together to celebrate a wedding, a retirement, birthdays and anniversaries, or graduations.
Cooking Classes: 2 to 3 hour intimate classes in your home (demonstration or interactive) that teach you and your guests a recipe, technique, or method of cooking. Recipes are included as well as any background information on the topic. A minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 people are the perfect numbers for a hands-on productive class. Demonstration classes can accomodate as many as the facility will hold with a maximum of 20 people. One-on-one private instruction can be also arranged with you on any of the class topics:
You are a perfect fit for our Cooking Classes if you:
Cooking Classes Benefits:
| With Personal Chef Cooking Classes | Without Personal Chef Cooking Classes |
| Learn new techniques, methods, and recipes at home with a personal chef along with friends and/or family | Read magazines or watch cooking shows on TV and try to recreate the technique, method, or recipe alone |
| Enjoy learning the background on the technique, method, or recipe from the personal chef | Read an overview in a magazine or listen to a snippet on TV but never fully understand how or why something is done |
| Have fun making and eating foods from scratch with friends and/or family | Make food for family or friends from magazine article or cooking show with little to no interaction |
| Learn to optimize the kitchen and/or pantry and stock with the right tools and/or ingredients | Never have the right tools or ingredients on hand when preparing a new recipe. Ingredients get lost in cupboards or become too old for use due to lack of organization and inventory control |

Demonstration only classes can accomodate as many as the facility will hold safely up to a maximum of 20 people. This pricing incudes the instruction, recipes, ingredients, and the finished products. For any cooking class events, we will provide an estimate of our professional chef service fees, based on the curriculum, plus an estimate of any special grocery expenses, pantry fees and/or container fees. Any alcohol including wine and beer are to be purchased separately by the client unless previous arrangements are made in advance.
• In the event the cooking class is held as a demonstration or interactive class combined with our dinner party format, we will provide you with a custom proposal detailing our service fees and estimated grocery expenses.
This cooking class/dinner party format allows guests to observe the menu items being prepared under a demonstration class approach with the finished foods being served to the guests at the table. This format can also be set-up as an interactive class with participants helping the chef instructors prepare the menu items to be served in the same fashion.
